Adopted son buys his poor family a new home after becoming a successful businessman

Life is all good and secure for Jayvee Lazaro Badile II. The Filipino business manager has seen a whole load of success throughout his career, and working as a manager and financial advisor clearly has its benefits.

But Jayvee’s life wasn’t always one of wealth, business, and status. You wouldn’t know it just from looking at him, but the difference between his youth and his life now is night and day.

Jayvee grew up as the adopted son to a poor family from Bocaue, Bulacan in the Philippines.
Poverty is no unusual thing in the Philippines.

Countless streets and cities in the country are filled with impoverished homes struggling to pay rent or have clean water. Anyone who’s grown up in the Philippines can attest to that.

Jayvee’s adoptive parents were Maximo and Maria.
Jayvee came into their life when Maria’s sister announced that her son was up for adoption.

The pair were hard on money, and had a home just like every other poor family in the country.

Though they couldn’t let the boy grow up without a family, so they offered to take him in.

He might not have the biggest of homes or the wealthiest of families. But it’s better than nothing, which is what he might have gotten had Maximo and Maria not adopted him.

Maximo worked as a porter, and Maria a vendor. Making ends meet was tough, and they faced potential eviction constantly. Jayvee even had to steal from small stores to make a little extra money.

They made do with their small, 20-square-meter home. Cramped is putting it lightly.

But just like earlier, it’s better than nothing. They were fortunate to even have a roof over their heads. They had to share one bedroom. Easier said than done with nine people under one roof.

Jayvee continued to live like this until after his adolescence. Though when he reached his adult years, that’s when he learned the truth of his parenthood.

His reaction to finding out he was adopted was shock and anger. He left his home storming out and took his chances at finding a better life.

Once he was on his own, Jayvee went from job to job.
He found work as a jeepney barker, then as a firecracker maker, a househelp, and even a vendor at one point (just like his mother).

With the salary he earned. he put himself through college. There, he took up accounting. A decision that put him on the road he’s on now.

With his bright mind and experience in accounting, Jayvee found work as an accountant and financial advisor.
He was only 24 at the time, but showed his employers that he was incredibly bright for how young he was.

It didn’t take long for him to climb up the corporate ladder with his brains and experience. Soon, he was an executive. He had well and truly climbed up the corporate ladder.

All through hard work, dedication, and a lot of faith.

He now has the life that he dreamed of when he was younger. His family would’ve wanted nothing more. It’s only fair, then, that he gave back to the loving family that did everything they could for him.

Jayvee couldn’t leave his family to make do with that cramped, rat-infested house they grew up in.
They deserved a proper home, and he was going to give it to them.

“Now that I have the chance to give back to them, I will make sure they will live their dreams better than what they could ever imagine. ” – Jayvee said in a Facebook post

The business manager and financer purchased land and wasted no time. This was the one thing he always wanted to do for them, and it was finally becoming a reality.

It took a year’s time for the new home to be built. It was to be a modern mansion, with all the comfort and space they could ask for.
When that one year passed, Jayvee presented the house to his family. It was a dream-come-true.

“7 Bedrooms, 3 Floors, 4 Toilets and Shower Rooms, Fully-Airconditioned with High-Ceiling Chandelier — these are exactly what I dreamt of for my foster family.”

The home had 7 bedrooms and a gorgeous living room. Besides the clean water and electricity that they never had growing up, the home also had beautiful lights and glass tables. Nothing but the best for his family.

Jayvee shared some “then and now” photos of their family Christmas from 2012 and now. It’s since gone viral.

It goes to show how far you can get by just telling yourself “Things can be better. They should be”. Read more about Jayvee’s story from the sources below. Please find more people to share this article with too!
